We’re looking to bring on our second in-house accountant to help build our accounting processes and systems as we scale. Reporting to our Controller, your day-to-day will include accounting entries, accounts payable, billing, month end reconciliations, and financial statement analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and can collaborate cross-functionally. In this role you'll gain a unique insight into our product lines as well as the complexities of the food delivery and data structuring industries. You’ll also get to provide input in refining our internal processes and bringing our vision to life.
Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable process
Prepare monthly accounting entries for various business transactions including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenue, and expense accruals
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and reporting schedules
Assist management with financial statement preparation and analysis
Participate in process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close process
Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing accounting processes
Assist in development and implementation of new policies and procedures
Assist with ad-hoc projects, as assigned by management
A four-year degree in accounting
Well versed in full-cycle accounting and GAAP requirements
2-4 years of accounting experience within public accounting and/or startup environment (required)
Ability to work cross-functionally and juggle multiple tasks at once
Strong quantitative analysis skills
Experience using financial software (e.g., Xero, Brex, Excel)
