We’re looking for an Economist with an interest in creating the next generation of digital experiences. You will be the first with this type of role on the growing Artie team. This role will play a critical part in bringing the our metaverse project to life.
Opportunity
Economic Research
Define, prioritize, and collaborate on deep economic experiments and economic research
Track, interpret, refine, and communicate macroeconomic trends and their impact on the NFT market and Artie product
Define deep economic models leveraging blockchain data
Define models for assessing risk and probability in primary and secondary marketplaces
Digital Economy Creation
Contribute to key decisions pertaining to decentralized/digital economies
Define supply and demand models for collectibles
Define economic experiments for NFT releases and games
Economic Security
Analyze and create benchmarks for the state of the Artie digital economy
Source and evaluate security threats within our experiences and across the Artie digital economy.
Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to investigate exploitative behaviors and economic anomalies
Construct adversarial scenarios to harden our economic systems from bad actors
Propose solutions to enhance economic security
Behavioral Economics
Partner with product and design to define opportunities to run experiments to improve the community experience
Support post-experiment analysis and provide recommendations on future implementations based on experiment results
Support strategic direction by leveraging micro and macroeconomic insight
Strong preference for MA/MS in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related technical field
Intermediate to advanced Python development skills
Strong statistical proficiency in and ability to use analytical coding packages like R, Python (Pandas, Matplotlib, Tensorflow, NumPy, sklearn, PyTorch, JAX)
Exceptional problem-solving, forecasting, and risk assessment skills
Self-starter

Ph.D. in Economics
Interested in games and digital economies
Interested in the world of Web3 and have some experience exploring blockchain data (i.e. dune.xyz, blockchain.com/explorer)
