We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Director of Content Acquisitions to join a leading global entertainment & sports broadcast organisation at an incredible time of growth, based in Doha. As Director of Content Acquisitions , you will be responsible for the management and handling of content acquisitions internationally for a very exciting new OTT platform launch.
Your duties will involve content negotiations, acquisition and contract management as well as establishing strategy for acquisitions and building strong relationships with content providers including Major Studios, Channels and Distribution companies.
You will also be required to look at performance analysis and content valuation of Entertainment content proposition and will work to budget allocations accordingly. Another key part to the role will involve content planning in line with programming needs and overseeing all Entertainment deals, contracts and 3rd party relationships.
Other responsibilities will include analysing trends in Media, Pay TV and Network industries and preparing competition landscape reports and presentations on a quarterly basis.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have fluent English and Arabic language skills and have extensive experience in TV rights acquisitions including negotiating OTT/SVOD deals on the buy or sell side. Experience in acquiring content for the MENA region and internationally is very important for this role.
It is key that you also have strong team management, leadership, presentation and negotiation skills. You must be able to demonstrate excellent experience reading and understanding contract language as well as good ability to review and analyse large volumes of data.
