We are looking for a journalist/thought leadership writer to support our growing editorial team. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious, passionate about healthcare and/or enterprise technology, and will have stellar clips and/or a portfolio to prove it. You’ll work closely with our Managing Editor to ideate, research, package, write and edit content for multiple digital platforms as well as print executions. As part of a results-driven, fast-moving marketing team, you’ll be challenged to think bigger and bolder and to execute faster and more efficiently, always.
What We’re Seeking
An organized, detail-oriented writer who is able to support the execution of a variety of high-visibility content efforts.
A motivated, action-oriented individual with experience in writing and producing thought leadership, executive commentary, and/or brand journalism.
A dynamic, results-focused content writer to deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences in the healthcare and enterprise technology industries.
A great storyteller with a keen eye for details and proficient in researching technical subject matters.
A true collaborator and relationship builder who will make an impact through building positive relationships with peers, subject matter experts, executives, and a large team of marketing professionals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with our Managing Editor to build content (thought leadership articles, blog posts, white papers, eBooks, etc.) targeted at marketing personas to optimize the customer journey and deliver the right message at the right time.
Contribute to all content efforts associated with the Olive Blog, Olive Quarterly, and Olive’s emerging thought leadership platform.
Help lead the development of multiple pieces of content each month, from concept to publication.
Research, package, write, and edit content from internal and external sources to develop insightful and engaging company and brand narratives.
Help develop content beyond text-based stories — including collaboration with creative teams around infographics, charts, videos, GIFs, etc.
Interview researchers, engineers, executives, and other people working in healthcare and/or technology innovation.
Ability to consistently spot trends and themes, preferably in healthcare/technology
Use data to inform content recommendations and decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or equivalent professional experience
At least 3+ years of directly relevant experience in healthcare and/or enterprise technology
Experience with content management systems (e.g. Contentstack)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong focus on collaboration
