We are looking for a Compliance Officer to manage and monitor our compliance requirements and ensure regulatory compliance within the company and the different sectors we play in. He/she will focus on developing policies, obtaining relevant regulatory approvals, training employees on industry standards, and constantly evaluating compliance. If you are a self-motivated individual, who is process-oriented, with strong attention to detail, good network skills and possess valuable experience in advising organizations on industry requirements and standards, we would like to meet you.
Research industry compliance regulations and policies
Evaluate internal business operational and procedural compliance
Analyse and update existing compliance policies and related documentation
Assist in ensuring that there is proper coordination with internal/external auditors to ensure the smooth delivery of requested information
Develop and execute compliance policies and procedures, as may be required
Communicate compliance policies and guidelines to Management and designated departments
Apply for compliance certification and regulatory approval
Develop and maintain a compliance recordkeeping system
Train employees on industry compliance requirements
Stay abreast of industry compliance requirements and update all internal policies, processes, and procedures accordingly
5+ years of previous work experience in a compliance related position. Having a governmental or legal background is a plus.
Experience in entrepreneurial environments and the flexibility to work in both highly structured corporate settings and less structured start‐up environments
Indepth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards
Exceptional ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation
Advanced analytical abilities and effective research and professional networking skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
