The objective of the Community and Events Coordinator is to raise awareness for our products and generate engagement and demand across open-source users (Flyte), commercial customers (Union), and integration partners.
Responsibilities
Engage with the Flyte and Union community and stakeholders with the goal of promoting and securing speakers and presenters for events and other engagements
Implement and manage the onboarding process for new community members and contributors to the Flyte open-source project
Expand, plan, organize, direct, supervise, and promote all open-source and professional community events and conferences
Assist with developing highly engaged, mutually beneficial reference relationships, collaboration opportunities, activities, and incentives for partner businesses and senior-level uses/customers
Engage with stakeholders within and outside the Flyte/Union community; manage communication and outreach on a regular basis over a variety of channels, such as website, email, mailing list, Github repos, GitHub Discussions, Slack, Twitter, etc.
Experience
You have previous experience in a similar role supporting technical communities (ideally in data science, machine learning, or data orchestration), where you have planned and executed community events
You are highly organized and thrive in a high-volume environment that will naturally have ambiguities and competing priorities
You are humble and collaborate well with other people. You thrive in team settings and exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You are self-motivated, reliable, and can function effectively in a distributed team
