We are looking for experienced Climbing Arborist’s with can-do attitudes to join the Active team and service a long-standing contract based in the Nation’s capital, Canberra. You will relocate and live in ACT. We are looking to support you and your immediate family on a 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored (Regional) Visa with a pathway to permanent residency after 3 years.
Reporting into the Supervisor, you will need to be able to efficiently and effectively trim and dismantle trees by using complex climbing techniques, whilst ensuring safe work practices. You will also occasionally need to operate an Elevated Work Platform and cut, trim and remove trees around powerlines.
This is an opportunity to work outdoors in a small team with good work ethic, using well-maintained equipment and state of the art technology. Active foster and grow their employees and offer opportunities for progression including Team Leader and Supervisor.

A current and unrestricted drivers’ licence
Climbing experience including rope and harness
Industry experience and/or qualifications are a must (Cert III Horticulture/Arboriculture or Cert II ESI Powerline Vegetation Control or equivalent)
A MR/HR class driver’s licence is highly desirable
Chainsaw operation qualification (Certificate Level 1 & 2) is desirable
Elevated Work Platform licence/ticket or willingness to obtain one
The ability to work as part of a team with a mature outlook and good communication skills
