ASSISTANT CREW PURSER | CRUISE SHIP WORK OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity exists for a world-class Assistant Crew Purser to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” to support the Crew Purser with the onboard Crew movement operations, Crew Administration management, immigration, and customs documentation, and any other crew related operational activities.

• Prepare all Crew immigration and customs documentation to ensure that the appropriate port officials receive all required lists in the time specified by various frontier officials;

• Ensure that all joining Crew embark with the required documentation;

• Distribute any information booklets, a copy of the Captain’s Standing Orders, Orientation booklet, dress Regulations and other instructional literature when Crew sign on;

• Ensure that all disembarking Crew have their required documents to leave the Ship and the country of disembarkation;

• Enter all new crew information into the Crew Management Systems and keep them updated at all times;

• Prepare notices for Crew and maintain Crew noticeboards updated;

• Support the Crew Purser with any further People related activities as needed;

• Handle mail delivery to the Crew.
 

• High School Diploma;

• A minimum of 3-year experience as Assistant Crew Purser/Crew Relationship Specialist/Immigration Purser onboard cruise vessels;

• Fluent in oral and written English (working & Safety language of the Company); ability to speak, read and write any additional language (Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.) is considered a plus;

• Strong administrative, accounting and organizational skills;

• A strong background in certification and documentation requirements. This may have been gained working in the Port documentation section on cruise vessels;

• Substantial interpersonal, oral, written communication and negotiation skills;

• Proven ability to work in a harmonious productive team environment with personnel from all nationalities;

• A good level of skills in computerized information systems.
 

Possess a valid passport and seaman book.
