Our team, which works remotely from all over the world, is in need of a UX/UI Designer. Our members range in experience from 25 years and up, from novices to professionals in the field. Despite having varied backgrounds, the team members are passionate about creating well-made, community-driven games that cater to players. From concept to implementation, a UX/UI Designer will collaborate with experts in game design, engineering, and audio to produce stunning and significant experiences. For us, that entails working on the development and construction of our Figma design systems as well as the engine's application of those systems.
You are a product designer who not only creates beautiful interfaces, but thinks through the human factor of how players interact with games.
You have an exceptional eye for aesthetic and can help maintain, develop, and define UI components and patterns.
You’re organized, and demonstrate this through impeccable attention to detail not only in your work but, within the way your work is arranged.
You’re an excellent communicator and are passionate about working across disciplines to advocate for your craft.
You’re player focused; you have a track record of creating interfaces that focus on clarity and usability, as well as visual design.
Work with the team to craft components in Figma based on the game design objectives, narrative guidelines, and creative targets.
Create visually balanced and player focused mockups that demonstrate a solid understanding of readability, clarity, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Collaborate with other artists to maintain and push the boundaries of our UI art style.
Understand, communicate and advocate for the design system and associated methodologies across multiple teams and disciplines.
Work with tech and engineering teams to refine the implementation process and workflow.
Essential Traits:
Must have 3+ years of UX/UI and/or Product Design experience.
Experience creating, and defining UI style guides.
Experience working with Figma (or similar prototyping tools).
Proven knowledge of UI design fundamentals such as layout, grids, typography, etc.
A personal passion for games and staying on top of the latest trends in the industry.
Experience with creating wireframes and prototypes demonstrating user needs.
Proficiency with UI implementation.
Familiarity with Atomic Design Methodology, Figma Components and Variants systems, and Design Tokens.
Proficiency with After Effects or other animation software to define and demonstrate UI animations.
A personal passion for open world, builder, or survival games.
