The PR Manager - eCommerce creates and implements marketing communication strategies, cultivates connections with media, produces content, tracks PR outcomes, assesses potential collaborations, and upholds industry awareness. They oversee press release distribution, crisis management, maintain consistency in messaging, and assess the success of campaigns.
Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics to enhance our brand’s reputation and visibility.
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
Create content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations.
Monitor, analyze, report, and communicate PR results on a monthly basis.
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis.
Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
Create and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials.
Manage crisis communications and respond to negative press.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
5+ years of experience in PR, preferably in an eCommerce or related industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong project management, and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with crisis management and communications.
Strong experience in social media, digital marketing, digital communities, and eCommerce business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Able to within EU and US timezones.
Strong knowledge of marketing communications strategies and tactics
Proficiency in creating compelling content for press releases, articles, and presentations
Familiarity with media relations and ability to build and maintain contacts
Experience in monitoring and analyzing PR results and reporting on them
Understanding of industry trends and ability to make strategic recommendations
Crisis communication management skills
Proficient in measuring and reporting the effectiveness of PR campaigns
